Overview

Multichannel, interoperable ticketing for modern urban mobility.

A hardware-independent, cloud-native ticketing platform for fare and journey management across operators, transport modes (bus, metro, rail, tram and MaaS) and payment channels (open-loop EMV, closed-loop transit cards, QR and mobile).

Core pillars

01

Hardware independence, no lock-in

Portable ticketing modules run on mixed-vendor estates, from attended inspection and sales devices (PAX A920 Pro, A77) to unattended gates, validators and ticket machines (PAX IM30, IM25).

02

Open-loop EMV and multichannel payments

Integrated with Viva.com processing, so riders tap a bank card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, or a contactless transit card.

03

Interoperability at scale

Multi-operator, multi-municipality clearing and settlement, proven in the Lisbon Metropolitan Area, Geneva (TPG) and Brussels (STIB).

04

Event-driven microservices

Real-time validation, automatic fare collection (AFC), account-based ticketing (ABT) and dynamic fare rules.

Architecture

From the tap to the settlement.

Every tap, scan or sale becomes an event. The Link Consulting engine validates it in real time, Viva.com processes the payment, and operators see cleared revenue.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is Link Consulting Smart Ticketing powered by Synergy?

It is Link Consulting’s cloud-native ticketing platform running on PAX terminals supplied by Synergy: inspectors use the A920 Pro or A77, and gates, validators and kiosks use the IM30, IM25 or an SK700 with an IM30. Riders pay with bank cards, phones, transit cards or QR tickets.

What is open-loop EMV tap-to-ride?

Riders tap the contactless bank card or phone they already carry at a validator instead of buying a separate ticket; the platform links each tap to the rider’s account and applies fare capping.

Can several transport operators share one ticketing platform?

Yes. Smart Ticketing distributes revenue between operators and produces settlement reports for each authority; Link Consulting reports multi-operator deployments in the Lisbon Metropolitan Area, Geneva (TPG) and Brussels (STIB).
